How my major can change the wold

Hi everyone! How are you? Today I will talk about how my major can change the world!     

    To begin with, my major is Political Science, a discipline of the social sciences that deals, in a very general way, with the study of power relations and how they affect to the installation of political systems. In this context, my field of study can be very useful, because it allows to discover, through research, the roots of the political problems of society. 

In this perspective, political science is an indispensable tool for governments and international organizations to become more conscious of the things that need to be fixed and, in this way, make the world a better place.

In particular, I have been very dedicated to studying and being a good student, especially because I am interested in being an academic. There are a lot of problems in society, however, what motivates me the most, for sure, is to be able to contribute to create a world without discrimination, either by gender, sex or sexual orientation. I am convinced that, by making visible the realities of dissidences and oppressed sectors of society, I will be a great contribution to help build public policies in these areas.

My major, in general, not only allows me to do research, but also to meet face to face the people involved in social and political issues. In this way, my major will not only allow me to write and develop protection mechanisms for people I feel I should help, but it will also allow me to learn about realities that, most likely, I do not know very well.

    Hi Catalina! If you'll excuse me, i didn't know that there were Political Science students in this section, but how wonderful! Do you like your career? It is interesting to read about it, from the point of view of a student, you inspire a vocation, and by following that vocation you will achieve everything you set out to do, I am sure that you will be able to contribute in all the ways in which you hope to do so. Hello, welcome to my new blog!      M y name is Catalina Valdés Blanchemin, I'm from Santiago, Chile and I was born on April 4th, 2001 (so, I'm only 20 years old). First of all, I want to talk a little bit about my family: I live with my parents and my older brother in a middle class house in La Florida. I've always thought that makes us a very regular family, because we fit perfectly into the prototype of four members and a very old dog. Now then, I'll tell you a little bit about my life.
