The story of my life

Hello, welcome to my new blog!

    My name is Catalina Valdés Blanchemin, I'm from Santiago, Chile and I was born on April 4th, 2001 (so, I'm only 20 years old).

First of all, I want to talk a little bit about my family: I live with my parents and my older brother in a middle class house in La Florida. I've always thought that makes us a very regular family, because we fit perfectly into the prototype of four members and a very old dog.

Now then, I'll tell you a little bit about my life. I graduated from high school in 2018 and, the next year, I dedicated myself to continuing my education to retake the college entrance exam. During that year I reconnected with the art world and devoted most of my time to drawing and painting. 

In addition to getting very close to art, I readed and informed myself a lot about the political stuff around the world , finally deciding that I was going to study Political Science. 

In 2020 I entered to the University of Chile to study what I wanted, but, unfortunately, the pandemic arrived. Now I'm in my second year of the online classes and I still enjoy drawing and painting in my free time, as well as reading about feminism and international relations. 

Also, during this year, I have started to listen to a lot of music and watch a lot of series. My favorite singer is Marina Diamandis and the best show I've seen so far is "The good place" (I recommend it, it's on Netflix).

    WOOW how impressive your drawings, my friend. what inspires you to make art. studying political science, how would you like to practice your career? it would be very cool if you could travel to other countries to carry out international relations. I wish you every success and hope you can go far. :D

    Hi Catalina! First of all, I have to say that you are a great artist! I hope someday I can drawn and paint just a little as beautiful as you do. Also, I want to ask you wich books would you recommend me to start to read about feminism?

    I love your art so much!! Your draw style is very beautiful, also your dog is so cute. You learn to draw for yourself or you took class of art?

      Since I was a kid, my parents always give me a lot of pencils and stuff for drawing and painting, so, with the time I learn by myself 🥰

Today I will talk about how my major can change the world!            T o begin with, my major is Political Science, a discipline of the social sciences that deals, in a very general way, with the study of power relations and how they affect to the installation of political systems.
